Our client, a global software company behind MindManager, provides productivity and collaboration tools to millions of users worldwide. MindManager helps teams visually organize ideas, manage complex projects, and plan strategically through dynamic mind maps.

How It Started
We had already supported the client on other initiatives, but MindManager needed additional capacity for native Windows and MacOS development. The initial request was to extend the team with engineers for the Windows and Mac applications.
We started with a small squad - 4 developers and 2 manual QA engineers - and within three months became a fully integrated part of the US-based core team.
Challenge
The company’s leadership chose to expand the team with devPulse due to our ability to source qualified, motivated, and reliable engineers quickly.
However, the client’s in-house team had limited experience collaborating with offshore teams, so there were natural concerns around communication, alignment, and delivery predictability.
The main challenge was to ensure deep integration with a distributed core team across the USA and Europe, while preventing miscommunication and process gaps. We agreed on a clear collaboration model, established working routines, and introduced safeguards to keep execution smooth and transparent.
The solution
We launched the engagement by forming a dedicated team of 2 Windows and 2 MacOS developers and 2 QA engineers. From sourcing and screening candidates to client approval and onboarding, the process took 1.5 months and remained fully transparent throughout.
